Carlton Forrester - Bio
Carlton Forrester is a video game developer and founder of VectorUp Games. To date, two of his games have reached #1 on the App Store and Google Play Store. His games have been downloaded over 245 million times worldwide.
Before game development, Carlton worked in software development for over two decades. During this time he worked for two Fortune 500 companies in the financial sector. After twelve years in the corporate world, he left to start his own business, Forrester Systems, to provide software development and creative services to small business clients.
Carlton’s interest in game development dates back to his childhood when he programmed small games for his Commodore 64 computer. In 2016, he began experimenting with game development again. Two years later, he had his first meeting with a major publisher - where he was introduced to the hyper-casual game genre.
In 2019, Carlton, along with friend and colleague Richard Harrison, formed Fogwatt Games. In early 2020, working with publisher Supersonic Studios, they released their first hit game Bead Sort - which went #1 in all the major markets worldwide. Fogwatt also published Stack Rider in late 2020.
In 2021, Carlton formed his own studio, VectorUp Games which published it’s first game Trapper 3D later that year. In early 2022, VectorUp launched Carlton’s 2nd #1 hit, Tall Man Run.
Carlton lives in Virginia with his wife, four teenage kids, and his German Shepherd named Toby. His other interests include music, drone videography, and designing fireworks displays.
